Builders & Developers
FORGE works alongside Australia’s foremost property developers and builders to deliver high-value, design-led urban infrastructure that complements master-planned communities and commercial precincts.

With long-term clients including Lendlease, Stockland, John Holland, CPB, Mirvac and Frasers Property, our proprietary FORGE Methodology offers cost certainty, buildability assurance and design alignment long before construction begins. From pedestrian networks and custom public spaces for new developments to architectural structures and foreshore amenities, FORGE provides turnkey outdoor structure solutions and expertise to streamline delivery and reduce project risk. With in-house design, engineering, project management, pre-assembly and installation teams, we manage every stage for efficiency and quality - ensuring each element enhances the project’s functionality and its long-term value.
Developer Case Studies
-
The Gables Bridges
The Gables BridgesHaving already delivered a number of access and shade structures at The Gables, FORGE was contracted by Stockland to deliver three new multi-span pedestrian bridges ranging from 32–57 metres in length. Brickmakers Drive Bridge
Brickmakers Drive BridgeWhen a proposal from another civil contractor was deemed excessive in terms of both size and cost, Mirvac reached out to FORGE to deliver three significant access structures including a 24-metre truss bridge across one of south-west Sydney’s busiest roads. Working together with Mirvac we scoped out an alternative bridge design, lodged the new DA and, on approval, moved straight into construction as the lead contractor.

Yes we can. The FORGE Methodology is built upon a wholistic offering ideally suited to the end-to-end project requirements of Australian developers and builders. Our process seamlessly combines specialist design, pre-construction planning capability, structural engineering, manufacturing methodology, risk mitigation, pre-assembly, project management and construction expertise—all from one in-house team to ensure continuity and certainty at every stage. Whatever you need, FORGE can provide it.
-
What are the benefits of using FORGE during early-stage project planning?
In our experience, project engagement can never happen too early. The sooner the collaboration process begins during early-stage planning stages the better the outcome will likely be—and the smoother the process to achieve it. Whether your vision is large or small, simple or complex, the benefits of early engagement can be especially noticeable during the critical initial design stages, resulting in far greater certainty around cost, scope and creative intent.
-
How does FORGE support developers in bringing public realm visions to life?
FORGE specialises in partnering with Australian developers to transform custom visions into brilliant realities for public realm infrastructure projects. By collaborating closely with developers, their creative partners and the relevant technical specialists from the initial concept stages of the project to final completion, we consistently bring even the most complex and creative design visions to life—on time and on budget.
-
What types of outdoor structures can FORGE deliver for medium- and large-scale developments?
FORGE is able to design and construct an extensive range of outdoor infrastructure for large and medium scale residential developments, ranging from pedestrian bridges, cycleways and boardwalks to bespoke play structures, shade shelters, amenities and public art installations. Our experienced team of in-house designers, engineers, project managers, pre-assembly specialists and installation crews can deliver entirely custom structures to meet any location or community requirements. Alternatively, we can also call upon our proven range of proprietary FORGE systems to drive major cost and time efficiencies for residential developments.
-
How does FORGE ensure quality and consistency across multiple stages of a masterplanned community?
Ensuring high quality and consistent design aesthetics is critical across multi-stage masterplanned communities. But achieving it can present many challenges, particularly as major developments take shape over time with the involvement of multiple contractors and stakeholders. To ensure complete consistency between structures, FORGE takes considerable time to understand the wider masterplan and development vision during the earliest stages of the planning process, carefully considering design, materiality and user outcomes with all relevant project stakeholders. The result is a more seamlessly connected and visually-aligned network of public realm and amenity structures.
-
Can FORGE integrate structural solutions with existing civil works or landscape packages?
Yes, and we always seek to do precisely this. After all, the most used and loved community structures rarely exist in isolation. Rather, they are designed to integrate effortlessly with existing civil works, landscaping, access routes and future development plans to provide a safe and seamless experience for those who use them. Achieving this requires close collaboration between all relevant project and community stakeholders. The FORGE Methodology always starts by understanding how the new structure will connect with its surroundings and existing infrastructure. We also consider how the structure might affect or be affected by future development in the area. In-built flexibility in design can allow for potential expansions or modifications as the urban landscape evolves while minimising future community disruption and expense.
-
How does FORGE manage complex construction interfaces on busy development sites?
By their nature, masterplanned community sites can be busy and highly complex with multiple trades working simultaneously within tight construction envelopes. Meticulous pre-construction planning, scheduling and ongoing communication between stakeholders is essential. From community bridges and boardwalks to custom play elements, FORGE also endeavours to pre-assemble major structures off-site wherever possible, significantly reducing delivery complexity, community disruption, and the amount of time required on-site for installation crews and equipment.

With this in mind, the FORGE Methodology has been specifically developed to deliver outdoor infrastructure projects with unrivalled clarity and confidence. By anticipating risks, streamlining workflows and engaging a consistent team of in-house specialists, projects are delivered to the highest standard with industry-leading efficiency. Variations and redesigns are significantly reduced, if not eliminated entirely. Budget and scope creep is mitigated. Quality and value is enhanced. Milestones are met. -
Can FORGE work under head contractors with strict quality assurance and reporting frameworks?
Absolutely. We have proven experience working on many masterplanned developments where we are contracted under the head contractor on behalf of the developer. The FORGE Methodology is a robust quality process certified under ISO 9001 (Quality Management). With built-in flexibility it can also be tailored to provide project-specific planning and documentation dependent on the bespoke requirements of head contractors and/or developers, as well as strict site management procedures including quality audits as required.
-
How does FORGE maintain design intent while meeting engineering and durability standards required by developers?
Maintaining design intent is a critical consideration that shapes every project decision at FORGE. From the initial design stages to the final handover, deep and ongoing thought is given to ensuring creative integrity, while also delivering maximum structural integrity and user safety. From an engineering perspective, structures must be designed and specified in line with all relevant AS codes and guidelines, ensuring durable outcomes that withstand not only the weight of community usage but also environmental factors such as soil conditions, wind and weather, tides and even flooding events.

-
Bokarina Beach Park
Bokarina Beach is a premium 30-hectare residential community overlooking Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. The developers, Stockland, selected FORGE to collaborate on the design and construction of several key elements within the expansive community parklands, including an environmentally-sensitive walkway through the local wetlands and a series of contemporary public shelters to help activate the surrounding green spaces by providing year ’round protection from the elements.
-
Googong Township

Servicing such a large and dynamic residential community requires a significant amount of accessible open space and amenity. This is something that’s seen FORGE work hand-in-hand with Googong’s landscape architects, AECOM, since 2018 to design and deliver pedestrian bridges, boardwalks, shade shelters, bus stops, an entry sculpture and even a customised ANZAC Memorial featuring six giant laser-cut rolled steel poppy flowers. -
Mountain Park at Springfield Rise
Springfield Rise is a major Lendlease residential development near Spring Mountain, 40 minutes south-west of the Brisbane CBD. The master plan boasts extensive parklands and FORGE was initially engaged by landscape architects, Vee Design, to progress preliminary designs for an ambitious new custom play structure at Mountain Park in the heart of the fast-growing community.
